Y earonyear, theInternational Furniture Manufacturing ComponentsExhibition (IFMAC and Woodworking Machineryexhibitions (WOODMAC) set better production output and manufacturing performance by embracing new technologies and solutions as presented at this year’s staging. Themed “Top Quality Technologies for Indonesia’s Expanding Furniture Industry”, IFMAC andWOODMAC showcased future ready products, machinery, equipment and systems to further invigorate Indonesia’s furniture. The exhibitions reached new heights with more than 300 exhibiting companies from across 23 countries, boosting a 25 per cent expansion in floor space as compared to last year. In fact, IFMAC andWOODMAC are proud to receive the participation of 12 companies under the inaugural German Pavilion. Other country groups participation includes China, Taiwan and France, who were all geared up to drawmore than 13.000 visitors from 37 countries. Each company brought their own multi-application capabilities across the exhibitions’ wide product range. By engaging the many international exhibiting companies, industry visitors, which comprised of large, small andmedium- sized furniture producers and retailers, were able to learn about each country’s high-quality furniture-related solutions and develop better understanding of the foreign companies’ competitive advantage in the market. This knowledge exchange will foster a more dynamic local furniture industry in Indonesia that is attuned to the worldmarket developments and proactive in carving its own progress to compete better with other international players. As IFMAC and WOODMAC deliver a one- stop venue for the end-to-end spectrum of the furniture production sector, the exhibitions also pride themselves in linking the entire industry value chain by assimilating tooling, fastener and hardware needs required as part of the whole furniture manufacturing and production processes. This augmentation is made possible by the co-location of the exhibitions alongside IFMAC and WOODMAC, thereby providing a beneficial one-stop sourcing activity for industry buyers and visitors. INDOFASTENER and INDOTOOLS & HARDWARE injected further additions on fastening, tooling and hardware needs that are required during the furniture manufacturing processes or to support the furniture application and aesthetic features. After the four days excitement, IFMAC will continue to attract companies from top furniture production and machinery providers. PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), organisers of the shows, expects even larger international participation including those from new countries for the upcoming IFMAC, which will be taking place on 9 – 12 October 2019 in JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta – Indonesia. ℗ The exhibitions reached new heights with more than 300 exhibiting companies from across 23 countries, a 25 per cent expansion as compared to 2017 November / December 2018 • Issue 6 • PANELS & FURNITURE ASIA 56 SHOW REVIEW IFMAC 2019 will take place from 9 to 12 October, 2019 IFMAC & WOODMAC EXHIBITIONS FURTHER EQUIP MARKET WITH THE RIGHT-VALUE TECHNOLOGICAL ASSETS
