Japan to allocate 29Bn yen to improve efficiency in wood industries

Japan will set aside 29 billion yen of its supplementary budget for strengthening the plywood and lumber industries. Part of this includes improving log production and logging road maintenance.
Other efforts to promote wood products include boosting efficient manufacturing facilities, shifting to competitive items, lowering log producing cost through efficient forest management such as introducing high performance harvesting machines.
