The Government of the Republic of Mordovia, Russia, has recently approved the list of organisations that are exempt from paid non-working days, established by the Russian Federation Presidential Decree “on measures to ensure sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the Russian Federation population in connection with the spread of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)".
Plyterra JSC was included in this list as a company that significantly influences the socio-economic stability of the region. Long period of shutdown will have negative impact on the ability of the company to fulfil its obligations under contracts, including state ones. Plywood is one of the essential building materials for many strategic facilities of the country, such as the prefabricated mobile infectious centre in Troitsk and Novomoskovsky Administrative Districts in New Moscow, the prefabricated infectious diseases structure in Pushkin, the Quarantine Center in Solnechnogorsky District, etc. Birch plywood from Plyterra JSC production is used for construction of these centers. It is therefore crucial for the company to continue operation.
The company has taken all necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures to ensure the prevention of spread of COVID-19. Production is possible only if these requirements are met. At the same time, employees who can perform their duties without personal presence at the workplace will work remotely.
