Tolko Woodlands receives SFI Sustainable Forest Management and Fibre Sourcing certification


Tolko Woodlands has officially received SFI Sustainable Forest Management and Fibre Sourcing certifications, after months of auditing its internal processes and documentation. It also had to undergo external confirmation audits to successfully achieve this certification, the company said in a press release.

This will replace any current CSA certification that Tolko holds. Tolko's CSA certification expires as of January 1, 2018 at which time Tolko's Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) will be certified exclusively to the SFI Standards.

Tolko Industries Ltd. is a private, Canadian-owned forest products company based in Vernon, British Columbia. Tolko is a major producer of lumber, veneer, plywood, Oriented Strand Board (OSB), with manufacturing operations across Western Canada.
